How to add a booking link to your Google Business Profile
Add a booking link to your Google Business Profile, see why the Book button may not appear, fix rejected links and remove booking links you didn't add.
How do I add a booking link to my Google Business Profile?
Use a verified Business Profile. On Google Search, open your profile, select Booking, then Add link. In the Google Maps app, select Edit profile, then Booking. Paste the address of the page where customers can finish a booking, save it, and set it as your preferred link if other booking links are listed. Then test it from your phone. A link you add yourself is not Reserve with Google, so Google does not promise it will look like a partner’s Book button.
This guide is written for independent salons, spas and skin studios, but the steps apply to any appointment business with a Business Profile. The steps and rules below were checked against Google Business Profile Help on 16 October 2026. Google says not every business, category, country or region can use every kind of business link, so if your screen differs, Google’s help page is the authority.
Book button, booking link or Reserve with Google: which one do you have?
Three different things can put a booking option on your profile, and most confusion comes from mixing them up. Identify which one you are dealing with before you change anything.
- Bookibles is not a Reserve with Google provider. You add your Bookibles page as your own booking link, and customers complete the booking on Bookibles.
- You do not need Reserve with Google to have a booking link. Google lets a business add its own link instead.
| Type | Who adds it | Where the customer books | What Google reports |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reserve with Google provider | You connect a participating booking provider from Bookings → Get started. Google notes that the provider might charge you. | Through that provider’s integration with Google | Google points to Reserve with Google for bookings performance. |
| Your own booking link | You add it yourself with Booking → Add link. | On the page you link, such as your Bookibles page | Google says performance data isn’t available for custom links. |
| A third-party provider’s link | A provider Google works with, or Google’s automated data. It can appear without you adding it. | On that provider’s website | Google’s help pages don’t describe reporting for these links. Remove the link if it isn’t yours. |
Check your link against Google’s rules before you paste it
Google publishes rules for business links and checks links after you add them. Tick each line before you save. A link that fails one of these can be rejected, or accepted and removed later.
| Check | Why it matters | Done |
|---|---|---|
| Your Business Profile is verified | Google says a business must be verified before it can add a link. | ☐ |
| The link opens a page for this business, and for this location if you have several | Links must lead to a dedicated page. A general homepage or another location’s page doesn’t qualify. | ☐ |
| A customer can finish the booking on that page | Google requires the link to let customers complete the action it is labelled for. | ☐ |
| It is not an Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, app-store or shortened link | Google does not accept social media, messaging, app store or link-shortener links as business links. | ☐ |
| It is not a link-in-bio page that only lists other links | A page of links usually doesn’t let a customer complete a booking there. Link the booking page itself. | ☐ |
| No other link on your profile uses the same domain | Google accepts one link per domain, including links a provider added. | ☐ |
| The page opens without a login, CAPTCHA or bot blocking | Google’s link checker visits links daily at most, ignores robots.txt, and can remove links it can’t reach. | ☐ |
| The address has no spaces, backslashes or a doubled https:// | Google rejects malformed links with an invalid-link error. | ☐ |

Add the link from Google Search on a computer
Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile, then find your profile by searching for your business name. Google describes these steps for adding a booking link:
- Older guides describe an Appointment links field under Edit profile → Business information → Contact. Google’s help page, checked 16 October 2026, describes the Booking route above. Use whichever your account shows.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | On your Business Profile, select Booking. |
| 2 | Select Add link. If links are already listed, select Add another link. |
| 3 | Paste the address of your booking page. |
| 4 | Select Save. |
| 5 | If several links are listed, select Set preferred link, choose yours and select Save. |
Add the link from the Google Maps app on your phone
Google reviews profile edits before they appear publicly, and it gives no fixed time for business links. If the link doesn’t show straight away, check that it was saved and look again later rather than adding it a second time.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open Google Maps signed in to the account that manages your profile, and go to your Business Profile. |
| 2 | Select Edit profile. |
| 3 | Select Booking. |
| 4 | Select Add link, paste the address of your booking page and select Save. |
Make your link the first one customers see
When several providers supply booking links for the same business, Google lists them in random order. A link you set as preferred shows first instead, and on mobile it is labelled as the business’s preferred option.
To set it: open your Business Profile, select Booking, select Set preferred link, choose your booking page and select Save. Do this every time you add a link and other links are already there.
Which Bookibles link should you use?
Use your Bookibles profile address, bookibles.com/your-page-address. One link then covers your whole service menu, which suits Google’s one-link-per-domain rule.
To find it, open Public page in your Bookibles dashboard. The Your public presence card shows the full address once your page address is confirmed, and an Open public page button appears after you publish. Copy the address from that card or from the page that opens.
Each service also has its own booking page, available from Copy booking link in that service’s menu. Because Google accepts one link per domain, a single service link only suits a business with one bookable service.
Before you add the link, publish your page and set your status to Accepting bookings. While the status is Limited availability or Paused, your page shows services with View instead of Book and new bookings are refused, so a customer arriving from Google can’t finish a booking. Google checks links for exactly that.
If you change your page address later, Bookibles redirects the old address permanently, but update the link on Google as well so customers and Google’s link checker land on the current address directly.

Test the link the way a new client will
A link that saves without an error can still lead somewhere unhelpful. Test it from Google itself, on a phone, as a customer would.
- On your phone, open Google Maps, find your business and tap your booking link. Don’t start from a bookmark or your dashboard.
- Check that the page names your business and the right location.
- Choose a service, pick a time and book as a guest using your own email address.
- Confirm that the booking appears in your dashboard with the status you expect, then cancel the test booking. On the Free plan, a test booking counts toward the monthly booking limit.
- Repeat the test after you change your page address, services or booking status, and once a month.

Why isn’t my booking link or Book button showing?
Find the row that matches what you see. The causes come from Google’s business links help and policies, except where the row says owners have reported it.
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No Booking option on your profile | The profile isn’t verified, or business links aren’t available for your category, country or region. | Finish verification. If the profile is verified and the option is still missing, Google may not offer booking links for that business type or location. |
| An invalid or malformed link error | Spaces, symbols, backslashes or a repeated http:// in the address. | Copy the address again from the page itself and paste it without editing. |
| “Domain already exists” | A link from the same domain is already on the profile, added by you or by a provider. | Edit or remove the existing link from that domain instead of adding a second one. |
| “Business link already exists” | The same link is already on the profile. | Keep the existing entry and set it as preferred if needed. |
| You can’t add any more links | The profile has reached Google’s limit for that link type. | Remove links you no longer use. Google’s help pages state different limits, so go by the message you see. |
| Your link saved, but there’s no Book button | Google doesn’t promise how or where a link you add yourself is displayed, and edits can take time to appear. | Check that your link is listed under Booking, set it as preferred, and look again later. |
| Your link appeared, then disappeared | Google re-checks links and can remove one that it can’t reach or that doesn’t let a customer finish the booking. Common reasons: the page is offline or unpublished, it needs a login, it blocks bots, or bookings are paused. | Open the link on a phone in a private window, fix the cause, then add the link again. |
| Another company’s booking link appears | Third-party providers can supply links to profiles. Owners have reported links they never set up, such as Thumbtack and Calendly. | Use Remove Provider (see the next section) and set your own link as preferred. |
| An old booking provider still shows after you switched | The old provider’s Google booking integration or link is still active. | Turn off Google booking in the old provider’s account, then remove anything left on the profile. |
| Your Instagram or WhatsApp link was rejected or removed | Google doesn’t accept social media or messaging links as business links. | Link your booking page, and keep Instagram and WhatsApp for conversations. |
How to remove a booking link you didn’t add
On Google Search, open your Business Profile and select Booking, then Remove Provider. In the Google Maps app, select Edit profile, then Booking, then Remove Provider. Google says providers must remove their link within 5 days of a removal request, and that you can report a violation if a provider doesn’t.
Owners have reported cases where Remove Provider isn’t offered for a link they never added. If that happens, contact the provider named on the link and use Google’s violation report.
If you are leaving a Reserve with Google provider, switch off its Google booking integration in that provider’s settings first. Fresha and Booksy, for example, describe Reserve with Google as a feature of their own accounts. Then remove anything still left on your profile and add your new link.
Can you see how many bookings come from Google?
Not from Google, for a link you add yourself. Google says performance data isn’t available for custom links; its bookings performance reporting is for Reserve with Google.
Bookibles doesn’t record which website or app sent a visitor, so it can’t show which bookings came from Google either. Adding tracking parameters to the link only helps if a tool you use reads them, and Bookibles booking analytics doesn’t. If knowing the source matters, ask new clients how they found you.
Chair renters, suites and mobile stylists
- If you rent a chair or suite in someone else’s salon, the salon’s Business Profile belongs to the salon. Google’s guidelines allow some public-facing individual practitioners their own profile. Read those guidelines before creating one, and don’t add your link to a profile you don’t manage.
- If you travel to clients, Google allows one service-area profile for a business without a storefront and asks you to hide your address. Your booking link works the same way.
- If you have several locations, Google requires each location’s link to lead to a page for that location. Make sure your booking tool can give each location its own page before you add links.
Quick answers
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Can I use my Instagram profile as my booking link? | No. Google doesn’t accept social media links as business links. Link a page where customers can book. |
| Can I use a WhatsApp link? | No. Messaging links aren’t accepted. Keep WhatsApp for questions and send people to your booking page. |
| How many booking links can I add? | There is a limit for each link type, but Google’s help pages give different numbers. Only one link per domain is allowed. |
| Do I need Reserve with Google? | No. You can add your own booking link instead. Reserve with Google needs a participating provider, which might charge you. |
| Is Bookibles a Reserve with Google provider? | No. You add your Bookibles page as your own link, and customers book on Bookibles. |
| Will a booking link help my profile rank higher? | Google doesn’t say it does. Add one because it saves customers a step, not as a ranking tactic. |
| Do customers book inside Google? | Not with your own link. Tapping it opens your booking page in the browser. |
