A fixed slot is a defined start time generated from the applicable schedule and service timing. It works well for repeatable appointments with dependable occupied time. A limit of one protects that service against conflicting allocations; it does not create a shared practitioner or room limit across different services.

Flexible requests work when the schedule needs judgment

A flexible booking can record the customer’s free-text details without pretending the request fits an automatically generated slot. The business and customer arrange the date and time separately, which suits projects with travel, variable duration, equipment, changing locations, or a discovery step.

Use three questions to decide
